Best Subreddits for Beauty Brands in 2026
RedditFind ranked 30 beauty, skincare, makeup, retail, regional, influencer, indie beauty, and product-feedback communities for brands and teams researching makeup and beauty buyers.
Why this map matters
Beauty teams need separate maps for skincare research, makeup feedback, retail behavior, and indie buyer trust.
The best beauty conversations on Reddit are not all in one place. Skincare buyers talk about routines, ingredients, irritation, and medical boundaries; makeup communities care about application, product lists, photos, and shade fit; retail communities reveal sale behavior, haul rules, rewards, and affiliate-link sensitivity.
This guide turns one RedditFind community-discovery run into a working map: the top communities to monitor, use cases by team goal, operating clusters, participation risks, the full ranking, and the original About / Rules evidence.
Beauty brands
They need buyer language, product objections, usage context, rule boundaries, and communities where promotion is risky.
Makeup and cosmetics DTC founders
They need honest reaction to texture, shade, application, photos, packaging, value, and trust.
Shopify, Amazon, and TikTok Shop beauty sellers
They need repeat complaints, sale behavior, cart-review language, affiliate-link sensitivity, and retailer friction.

How different teams should use the map
Do not treat every subreddit as a posting channel. Some are better for listening, some for support research, and some are too strict for brand-led participation.

|---|---|---|---|
| Skincare product research | r/skincareaddiction, r/30plusskincare, r/skincareaddicts, r/skincareaddictionlux | Ingredient language, routine pain, irritation concerns, and claim boundaries. | Internal listening notes; public posts only with moderator-safe disclosure. |
| Makeup launch planning | r/makeupaddiction, r/makeup, r/makeuptips, r/makeupeducation | Application use cases, shade questions, photo expectations, and product-list norms. | Detailed tutorials, product context, and non-promotional answers. |
| Retail and sale monitoring | r/sephora, r/ulta, r/ultaemployees | Cart reviews, rewards, hauls, sale calendars, affiliate sensitivity, and service complaints. | Listening and support research; avoid affiliate or discount-link behavior. |

| Indie beauty trust building | r/indiemakeupandmore, r/makeuprehab, r/naturalbeauty | Trust, samples, scent, handmade products, no-buy behavior, packaging, and community expectations. | Transparent founder notes only when rules allow it; otherwise use for research. |

整体更像 r/MakeupAddiction 的小社区版本。

| 22 | r/sophisticated_beauty | 18% | 65K | 11 | 审美图片和高标准美感欣赏社区,介绍文字偏“skincare is privilege - beauty is skincare”。

建议优先关注主社区 r/BeautyGuruChatter。 |

Skin care is a pretty big deal, and we love subs like /r/SkinCareAddiction, however we felt there needed to be a sub that deals specifically with skin that's over 30. Share your questions, frustrations and triumphs!
Rules
Poster is under 30
Please don't post or comment here if you aren't yet 30 - we will be removing posts from people under 30. r/SkincareAddiction has a fantastic list of the other subs on Reddit where you will be talking to your peers: https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/wiki/related_subs

Be nicer, do better, we're too old for this shit.
Be nice. Constructive criticism is cool, but acting like an ass is not. And DO NOT do things like posting "How old do you think I am/look?" - that never goes well, and your post will be deleted and locked.

If you are shilling for a MLM company, you will be banned. Please see r/antiMLM if you want to know why.

About
SkincareAddicts is a positive newbie-friendly sub for anything and everything related to skincare. Post about your favourite products, ask for advice about your routine, discuss the various things that affect your skincare, and above all else stay positive and considerate of your fellow community members! We're here to help!
Rules
Be nice.
Different things work for different people.
No spam or advertising.
If you have a blog post to share, copy the text into a text post and link your source. Image posts are allowed.
No referral links.
Nobody should be attempting to make money off of our community.
Don't seek medical advice on the internet.
This sub is not a place to seek medical advice. If you've got a weird bump or mole that you're not sure about, SEE A DOCTOR. It could save your life.
Include your routine when relevant.
For example, before and afters, troubleshooting, or product questions should include your current routine.
There are no stupid questions.
While we'd prefer you to google basic inquiries before posting, we aim for an environment with no condescension. Don't be afraid to post or comment because you're not an 'expert'.
About
This sub is a relaxed community to discuss skincare products and routines. Do NOT ask us to diagnose your acne/skin condition or advise on how to treat it. This is not a dermatology clinic!
Rules
Please stay on topic!
- We cover skincare from head to toe, including dandruff and ingrown hairs. - If you don't know what's wrong with your skin, i.e. you don't have a diagnosis, then don't post here. We're here to discuss products and common concerns like dryness, oiliness, wrinkles, discoloration, and other **superficial** things. - No fishing for compliments posts. (Examples: How does my skin look? Are my wrinkles that bad?) **See [the wiki](https://reddit.com/r/skincare_addiction/wiki/index) for more info**
Be kind to others, and to yourself.
- Post titles, descriptions, and comments must not be self-deprecating, self-disparaging, or otherwise unkind in tone. Content implying requests for sympathy may also be removed. - Bigotry, personal attacks, racism, homophobia, and transphobia will not be tolerated and will result in a ban. - This rule is not to be confused with opinions you don't agree with. As long as it’s done in a respectful manner, we will allow it. No negative comments about the size of a collection or about finances.
No spam, self-promotion or referral codes.
* **No spamming your blog, website, business or social media. No surveys.** Exceptions can be arranged prior for active members in our community if your blog/website/social relates to the topic at hand. * **Absolutely NO referral/affiliate links or codes.** * **Do not repost removed or self-deleted content. This is a form of spam and is not allowed.** * **No AI/ChatGPT.**
No playing doctor or requesting acne/medical advice.
- Do not ask for a diagnosis/treatment advice for acne or other medical conditions. Do not diagnose acne/medical conditions. (Yes, asking "What is this?" is asking for a diagnosis!) - Do not go against what someone's doctor has told them and give your 2 cents. Do not ask us to second-guess a doctor’s advice. - NO unsafe/dangerous recs or advice. NO talk of diet, supplements or anything that's ingested! **Please see [the wiki](https://reddit.com/r/skincare_addiction/wiki/index) for more info**
No MLM's. Period.
**No promoting, shilling or recommending MLM products in this sub.** MLM (multi-level marketing) is a predatory practice that often targets women and those in vulnerable situations. r/Skincare_Addiction will not be a place for promoting such products/practices.
No NSFW.
Do not post photos of bare private parts, bare bottoms, bare anything that you wouldn't show your grandmother. This is not a NSFW sub and what you have probably needs medical attention, which we are not qualified to provide.
Moderator discretion.
Moderators reserve the right to make decisions in the best interests of the sub and its users, including removing posts that are overly dramatic or are deemed likely to cause undue drama or controversy. Posts that are low effort, repetitive, or have insufficient detail (i.e., just a photo) may be removed. Discussion of brands suspected of unethical advertising may be removed. Attempting to evade filters for *any* reason is a bannable offense.

Welcome! MakeupRehab is a place for those who are on a no-buy, low-buy, or just want to talk makeup and beauty without being bombarded with sales, hauls, and other tempting posts. Let's ramp up the creativity to use your collection to the fullest and curb your spending at the same time!
Rules
Haul Posts, Sales and Product Links
No posts about/linking to Hauls, Sales (events), Products (stores/sites, incl. non makeup items), or other PSA-type posts. We encourage users to be VAGUE when discussing sale/stores/items they've passed on and want to discuss here. It is counterproductive given the nature of the sub - and we all know why we are here! Be Kind and No Drama
Buying and Swapping
Do not approach other members asking to buy, sell, swap, or donate unwanted items. This rule is in place to protect our members because the moderation team is unable to verify these type of posts.
Influencers
Posting your own relevant video/blog entry is allowed with mod approval per the [Influencer Post Guidelines](https://www.reddit.com/r/MakeupRehab/wiki/faq/influencer). Posting other people's videos/blog entries is allowed as long as the links are on topic and will enhance the community's mission. If you are unsure if a video/blog entry is on topic, please message the mods.
TMO Guidelines
Follow [TMO Guidelines](https://www.reddit.com/r/MakeupRehab/wiki/tmofaqs) when posting a TMO post.

Please do not cross-post! Cross-posts tend to end up with "high-risk" subs on our page or rule breaking for users not familiar with our community, which is counterproductive for everyone.
Survey
Please do not post surveys.

About
A chill place for all things makeup related.
Rules
Harassment & Vulgarity
Harassment, name calling, taunting and vulgar/inappropriate comments are not allowed. Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, (all isms fall into this category) etc. remarks will result in an immediate ban with no prior warning. Rude remarks about things that are NOT makeup-related (Plastic surgery, hair color, facial features, etc.) will be removed and are subject to a ban. Any unwarranted sexual/creepy comments will be removed and are also subject to a ban.
Makeup must be visible.
• Makeup must be at least 50% of the photo. Crop out unnecessary head/chest/background space that does not contribute to the look. Please refer to [this image](https://imgur.com/SYnQJ4q) for reference. • Make sure to take photos in the best lighting possible and make sure the quality of the photo is clear and not fuzzy/distorted/pixelated. • Mirror selfies are not allowed.
Appropriate angles/tilts/turns.
• Full face and eye makeup looks need to be angled appropriately. A straight-on shot is strongly recommended and preferred. However we will consider a handful of others if the makeup is clearly and easily seen. Please refer to [this image](https://imgur.com/8932SMA) as an example of what is/is not appropriate.
Photo Editing & Filters.
Please no edited or filtered photo or video submissions. This includes beauty mode on newer phone models, as well as Snapchat/Bestie cam/other app cameras. If you’re unsure if yours is acceptable due to autofocus or whatnot, please message us beforehand.

Impersonating or Stealing Content.
Don’t post pictures of people who aren’t you. Don't post content that is not yours. Seriously, this shouldn’t be said. If you are caught impersonating or stealing content you will be banned. Do not make empty accusations, please provide evidence if you believe this is happening by sending us modmail. Crossposting/Reposting of any MakeupLounge user's photos is subject to a temporary ban. You must received permission from OP. Simply crediting them is not sufficient enough.
Constructive Criticism.
Constructive criticism is welcomed here. If you don't think you can handle it, then reconsider posting. • There is a difference between constructive criticism vs insults and verbally abusive behavior. Avoid intentionally putting people down and focus more on helping them, otherwise your comment will be removed. Example: "That lip color doesn't suit you!" [BAD] "I think if you went with a lip color that has more warmth to it, it would compliment the whole look!" [GOOD]
Product List.
Make sure to leave a comment of your list of products in your makeup look. Please post shade names as well so people can re-create the look. If the product(s) are discontinued/limited edition, that is also ok. If you can think of a dupe for any product(s), please share them if possible. Looks that do not include product lists posted within an hour of submission will be removed and re-instated once a mod has seen that a product list has been posted. DO NOT list your products in the title.
Disparaging of Brand Use.

Challenge/themed posts/things like that need to be limited to one a day per user. Blatant attention seeking behavior by spamming the subreddit multiple times a day may also be removed or result in a temporary or permanent ban. Posts must be related to makeup or they will be subject to removal.
Self-Promotion.
Social media such as Youtube channels and Instagram pages should not be referenced in post titles, nor should they be directly linked. Watermarks that link to Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/etc. pages are not allowed, however, you may watermark with your Reddit username as an alternative if you are wary of people taking your photo. Minimal linking to social media in comments of your own post is acceptable at the discretion of the moderators (please do not spam 10 different social media platforms.)
COVID-Related Content.
Any posts or comments mentioning any politics, conspiracies, any other topics, etc regarding COVID-19 will be removed. Subtle mentions, or skirting around this rule may also be removed on a case-by-case basis. We have updated this rule to permit discussion of masks, especially as it relates to mask makeup. How to turn this into a weekly workflow
Start with r/SkincareAddiction, r/30PlusSkinCare, r/beauty, r/MakeupAddiction, and r/Sephora as separate research rooms, not one blended feed.
Create a rule sheet before posting: promotion bans, survey bans, referral-link limits, AI-content bans, product-list requirements, and cart-review calendars.
Tag every saved post by job: routine problem, ingredient concern, shade issue, retail complaint, creator trust, sale timing, or product-page objection.
Use RedditFind monthly to rerun the map and watch which regional, retail, and indie communities move up or down.
FAQ
Can beauty brands post in these subreddits?
Sometimes, but several top communities explicitly restrict self-promotion, surveys, referral links, brand-affiliated accounts, or AI-generated material. Use the rules table before posting.
Which subreddit should skincare brands study first?
Start with r/SkincareAddiction for broad skincare routines and ingredient language, then compare r/30PlusSkinCare, r/SkincareAddicts, and category-specific communities for age, luxury, acne, and regional signals.
Which subreddit is best for makeup product feedback?
r/MakeupAddiction and r/makeup are the main rooms in this run. They are useful for application language, shade issues, product-list expectations, and what makes a post helpful rather than promotional.
How should Shopify, Amazon, or TikTok Shop beauty sellers use this list?
Use it to collect objections, support language, pricing friction, haul context, sale behavior, and retailer complaints before rewriting product pages or creator briefs.
Why include Sephora and Ulta communities?
Retail communities reveal buyer calendars, haul behavior, rewards friction, affiliate-link sensitivity, and support complaints. They are often better for listening than posting.
