We understand that you're excited. We are excited that you're excited! However, these posts have become very spammy, and contribute nothing to discussion. They will be removed.

No "low effort" posts.

These can include: "Pls HELP!" "What am I doing wrong?" "My First Benchy/Dog/Cat" Pictures of an Ender on a desk "The quality of this machine is amazing for such a cheap printer!" posts. These are all most common things every one of these nearly 200K members of this sub have shared in/ experienced already. We're all happy for you, we've very literally all been there. So these rules exist to try to keep the sub interesting and engaging for all the members, not just the new ones.

Help posts must be detailed.

Help posts must contain settings at a minimum. This means more clarification than "chep profile" or "creawesome profile". Actual settings and values related to the issue must be shared or the post will be considered low effort, and may be removed. Rare exceptions can include large, machine based issues unrelated to a specific print.

No posts relating to functional firearms, how to obtain or construct them, or where to obtain files.

Prints regarding guns are allowed, but must be non functional props or models. No information regarding "uppers" or complete construction of a working firearm is allowed in this sub. No Files, links to files, or subs relating to gun production may be shared or posted here. No requests for models are allowed. Any requests, or shares of the model will be removed in compliance with Reddit's ToS. Basically, keep it about the print and its quality please, for this sub's continued survival.

This forum is used for new and expert users to share, learn, and contributed to the community around the Ender3. Posts must have location tag

Posts need to have location tags. This will help those who want to make the parts understand if they are a good fit. Follow title format: '[Country] Title'. In most cases the full Country name is usable, or there iso 2 letter country codes will work. For US and Canada you can also add their state by doing [US-NY] or [CA-BC], replacing NY or BC with which state you are from Posts not following this format may be removed. Advertising what you offer is fine, but do not spam. This community is not a fan of spam, so do it at your own risk. Only Mods can give the HAVE flair, so understand that too. It is likely better to just reply to open needs than post a HAVE thread, so do so at your own risk. Spamming is not allowed and will result in a ban, do not tempt us. But also, do not falsely report.

Karma Requirements

Gun parts are under no circumstances allowed on this subreddit. Regardless of your government rules.

Must have a function

Be able to describe the unique function of the print beyond holding a non-specific thing, being pretty to look at or fun to play with (like a fidget spinner). Discussion or questions are best posted to r/3D_printing. Challenging the OP to explain the function is fine but do not argue if a print has a function in the comments.

Civility

You’re free to express your opinions and disagree but do so like adults. Personal attacks, name calling, obvious trolling and flaming are unacceptable. Keep it positive. If you can’t keep it positive, keep it constructive. If you can’t be constructive, keep it to yourself. It's possible to be critical and positive at the same time. The exception to this is humor. Crack jokes all you like but keep it in the realm of classy. If you would not tell you mother the joke, skip it.

Use The Reporting Feature

You’re not the police and you don’t enforce the rules. Use the report function if you think something is against the rules. There is no need to argue in the comments.

Concern Trolling

Absolutely nothing gun-related

Unless it is obviously a toy or a prop, no gun-related prints are allowed. That includes attachments, ammo boxes, crossbows and even airsoft.

No links to X/Twitter, Facebook or Instagram

No external links to the X/Twitter, Facebook or Instagram or references to follow you there will result in a warning and then a permanent ban on a second offense.

Use of AI in designs

If you used AI at all to aid in design, please be up front about it in advance. Assistance is allowed but works that are purely AI created are not allowed.

Fucking Useless Friday

On Fridays the rules are relaxed and prints with no obvious or actual function are encouraged. Show off your toys, bowls and vases or roast someone else’s useless-ass print. We’re talking roasts, not burns. Rules for civility are relaxed but still apply. Have fun but keep it classy. For clarity sake, please use the Fucking Useless Friday tag.

Rules Violations

A violation can result in a warning that may be a very short ban. Repeated violations can result in a permanent ban. Obvious harassment or trolling will be a permanent ban. If you feel that the rules were enforced unfairly, submit an appeal by replying to the notification but please be polite. Harassment will not be replied to. Ban appeals will be handled by a different mod than the one that issued the ban for fairness sake.

This is a modeling community, not a collector sub of prepainted figures of Asian companies overseas, figures that are wrongly called "garage kits" or "resin kits" by studios that sell unofficial and unlicensed statues of mostly Shonen Jump series like Dragon Ball, Bleach, Naruto, etc. Those are prepainted status/figures and don't belong here.
